In addition to the adventurous itch that we both suffer from, we also want to contribute for the well-being of people around us. And to achieve this we want to collect and contribute by creating awareness about the evil of fatal disease “Cancer” and the necessity of "Childhood Literacy".
We have collaborated with . This organisation was established by Indian cricketer, Yuvraj Singh. He was diagnosed with Cancer and defeated the disease after a long treatment in the United States of America.
Through , Yuvraj wishes to inspire other patients to fight the dreadful disease. Yuvraj plans to introduce various initiative though this campaign which includes setting up detection camps through mobile vans, launch permanent detection centers across the country and also a "Speak up Campaign" to establish a base for fighting Stigma against Cancer in association with the Indian Cancer Society.
Also we have joined hands with a charity organisation . In the 1990s, half of the world’s illiterate children were in India. Pratham changed that. Pratham believes education is the fundamental right of every child and no child should be deprived of this basic right simply because he or she does not have access to it or does not have the resources to realize his or her dreams.
Pratham means "first" in Sanskrit and is the first major organization to achieve lasting, wide-scale success in educating India’s youth. Their mission is to improve the quality of education in India and to ensure that all children in India are not only attending but also thriving in school. Using very low-cost and scalable methods, Pratham works in collaboration with the government, local communities, parents, teachers and volunteers across the country to achieve its mission.
Also we will be logging every detail (as much as possible) about the trip in this website so that some other adventurous soul(s) can get help from our exploits as we did from few other likeminded people. So banking on their shared experience, Aarti’s extensive travel knowledge and my exemplary driving skills, we will be taking the silk route (via China) to India .. Yippiiee!!
